Reading update #8 – You Weren’t Meant to be Human

I’ve just finished “the first trimester” of You Weren’t Meant to be Human and I gotta say, I’m a little underwhelmed. I saw tweets saying how disturbing this book is and it changed their brain chemistry but right now my brain is fully intact. Are there nasty parts? Sure. But nothing too traumatizing. Dont get me wrong, the hive sounds disgusting – worms and flies meshed together eeeeeyuck. And Crane is seriously messed up in the head. I know I’m only 1/3 in and the scene has to be set first so I hope I’m not eating my words later on.
