Reading update #7 – Ithaca

I am officially 100 pages into Ithaca by Claire North and good golly it took me so long to get there. It’s not a bad book, it’s very well written, and I am interested in the subject matter, so why is it taking me so long to get through?

I like that Hera is the narrator – that was an unexpected twist. I also find it interesting seeing what’s going on at court while Odysseus is on his journey. Lots of politics are happening. And while Penelope seems cunning and smart, I’m actually starting to get more interested in this cousin I keep hearing about – Clymenestra.
