Reading update #2 – Dawn of the Cursed Queen

The emotions I experienced while reading Chapter 59:

Wowowowow, so as I’m reading last night, I was getting annoyed at Dianna keeping Samkiel’s resurrection a secret. She’s had so long to tell him, and we all know the longer a secret is kept, the more it hurts the other person. And then I’m also thinking this is getting built up so much, when it finally happens, it better be good because it’s a major plot point at this point.

Well wow, that scene delivered. Bravo, Ms. Nicole. The fact that Dianna just blurted it out, Samkiel’s HURT, the emotions, Dianna spiraling, Samkiel not just getting over it. Because we know that Samkiel is a simp for Dianna, but he also stands on business with her and doesn’t easily let her get away with her actions. Samkiel was mega betrayed and hurt by this, as he should be.

But I was NOT expecting him to send Dianna away and tell her he needs time. I also loved that Samkiel told Dianna he wants all of her and not just her body, but everything. Dianna needs that continued reassurance. But wow, Samkiel really sent her away and told her he needs time.

Now I fear what Dianna will do because she’s obviously heartbroken. I think it’s expected for her to rage and be destructive, but I actually think she’s just going to be very depressed, self-isolate, and kind of be a shell of herself. She’s too empty and hurt to act out of anger.

Vincent’s reason for hating Dianna is STOOOOPID

Let me just say I never liked or trusted Vincent and I’m glad that he’s a true villain. I just hope his betrayal to Camilla isn’t a ruse but the real thing.
